I have been struggling with this question for the last couple of months. The F85 is a fantastic vehicle. Every Sunday morning I'm up at sunrise hitting the highways and parkways. It is truly an effortless vehicle. You do not have to be Carroll Shelby to drive this machine fast. It is in fact a little too effortless. I love the way it drives, HUD, seats M1 and M2 buttons. 0-60 in 3.8 for such a heavy vehicle.
Now I read the car and driver review of the new X5MC. Is it really worth it to purchase the latest and greatest when the numbers from the new vehicle are not that far from the F85. 0-60 in 3.6-3.7, C&D skidpad numbers for F85 was .98g's new vehicle 1g. Seats in the F85 are definetly better. The exhaust will no doubt be better and throatier in the X5MC especially since I got rid of the fuse for active sound in the F85. I think I read somewhere now you can hit a button and it will be deactivated. F85 is paid off and now has 35k miles on it.
First world decisions I guess? I will have to get some serious incentives to jump ship to new X5MC.
