My comment was for the benefit of the OP because I hate to see people make their cars handle worse.

For me, the OEM tires are the baseline and anything narrower compromises handling and aesthetics.

It's disappointing that even my OEM sized snow tires are narrower. Never mind actually opting to go narrower, no way. If I could, I'd only go wider. Never narrower.
