I feel its just an easier way to measure taking out the different tire make differences. Plus H&R and other suspension companies always ask to measure that way (see my H&R spring install thread and look at the H&R install docs). |
Both ways will work I guess. To me I find it easier to measure edge is wheel on the ground to the fender 😜 |
