Features like lumbar support, side bolsters and other extra power adjustments only require power, no coding, so depending on the socket pins configuration may need to provide extra pins for power/ground (relatively easy)
However, things like ventilation will need coding and extra physical buttons/control module on dash panel
Physical seat removal isn't hard - just 4 torx bolts for seat base and couple seatbelt bolts
It's worth it imho as comfort seats are indeed more comfy especially for longer trips
Finding matching color seats in good condition and not for sky high price can be a pain
