Picked up my new X5 xdrive40e last Thursday. While going through the vehicle with the BMW Genius we noticed that the front camera wasn't working. The service center took 30 minutes trying to resolve it to no avail, so they had us leave and said they'd order the part. The check engine light was on, but all systems were shown as OK, and from a quick internet search it appeared to be related to the camera.

We dropped the car off Saturday and picked up a loaner, and Monday they let us know that the check engine light was due to a bad a/c compressor. They said none were available in the US and we had to wait for one to be shipped from Germany.

We're definitely not happy to have these issues on what should be a perfect brand new car. I've asked the dealer for something to compensate us for the inconvenience, but their view is that providing a loaner is good enough. Should I reach out to BMW NA? What, if anything, would they do?
