If you can change your engine oil, this is the same level of difficulty. I would not recommend any transmission waiting to 100k. I plan to do it once a year to keep as its impossible to get it all out. This will keep it in good order.

You are a better wrench than I am as all my ATF exchanges while doable, have been a PITA required managing temperature of ATF, ensuring car is dead level, and pumping ATF up and into transmission as there is no filler tube.
One of the biggest hassles on my other BMWs is access to the damn filler plug. Have had to drop exhaust hangars and the like. Maybe f86 has more room. Haven't been under mine yet.
