I thought the thread title was referring to the engine oil pan but the thread is about the transmission fluid pan hence the confusion.

The engine oil pan is steel but the transmission fluid pan on the 50i ZF transmission is all plastic, has the fluid filter built into the pan, and should be replaced every time the fluids are changed.
Hence the topic of this thread about upgrading the plastic pan to the metal one from the M. |
Ah I see the newer F15s are plastic. Didn't catch that blurb.
