The upper edge all the way across follows the window curvature about half inch above where the glass starts, but has a small gap to the glass. Also, the ends curve up even higher.
The lower edge follows the body line/bend that is a few inches below the window glass.
So lower edge looks ok, but upper edge should not be against the glass, too high IMO. Also, correct, I wanted a flatter profile. The curved up sides looks like crap, IMO.
Thus my thinking of trying to reshape it, and remove 1/2" to 1" from both edges, make it smaller, so it mounts against metal/paint only.
Won't stick out as far, which is ok. But looks like it could be made to still follow the body lines, which is what I wanted.
