Has anyone experienced anything similar?

my 30d shows an engine management orange light when my fuel gets down to a quarter full.

there is no power loss or any issues, the light clears after 6 or so startups even if I fill up full it remains on until then.

I scanned the car and wondered if anyone has seen this. engine light gone when cleared codes, but not sure which was did it. please help.
