I was not able to find a US dealer that would credit the bits that would not be used in the BBK (solid rotors, heat shields, pads etc.). Each dealer stated I have to purchase the kit as a whole and then the X5M/F85 rotors separately and if I planned to use aftermarket pads I had to purchase the pads with the kit as it was priced "whole" not a la carte.

The price you posted is way better than what i paid just a few months back. If that person can get them for $173 I'd buy them all and resell them on ebay for double.
