FWIW, my '17 has 18k miles and has been in for service twice. Once for break-in and the second for an oil change at 10k miles. Literally nothing else.

It's based on how you drive and multiple conditions from sensors in the engine. It always adjusts based on driving. 1500 is significantly short (must be driving insane). Aggressive mixed with commuting I can see 5000-7500.
