Great post riM3! Please keep us posted on how the Contis do with winter performance as well as comfort an noise over time.

I purchased the space saver spare option with my X5 so that I could easily make the switch to non-RFTs if necessary.

On a related note, the OEM Michelin all-seasons that came on my X5 seem to be doing much better now that I've put some more miles on them. They currently have about 2500 miles and seem to be better in snow, ice, and slush. I'm going to give them a bit more time because I'm happy with the comfort and noise levels.
