The s63 is built to survive. Read this and check you tube for tear down video of a damaged s63 (improperly gapped spark plug took out a cylinder). If one starts modifying improperly all bets seem to be off IMO.
Things like different pistons, closed deck heads, stronger main bearing design, better oil cooling/spray go a long way to hep ensure longer engine life
