It's not affected by snow, dirt, grime. It also seems to ignore stationary objects.
The indicator LED is lighter than some cars but it's fine to me.

I'll play more in the way home today. I never saw it during the day lite yesterday, so either I didn't get in a situation where it triggered or it was just too faint to see it. I was expecting it to work and be as bright as others I have owned where anyone in your blind spot for any reason triggered it.
