My X5 M is approaching 50k mi with no problems except a misterious slowly raising coolant level in the charge air cooling circuit.
Service (mostly oil & once a spark plug change) is every 20k mi and oil consumption in my case is about 1 quarter every 15k mi.
At about 20k mi I switched from Pirelli on 20" to Michelin on 21" wheels due to insolvable vibration problems after renewing the Pirelli tires. I found the 21" Michelin tires roadholding much better without appreciable confort loss, but this may be quite subjective, as I mostly drive on reasonably good Central European roads.
My next car will most likely be a G95...
