Get dedicated snow tires if you are driving in snow. As for RFTs vs. non, I prefer keeping a spare wheel+tire in the trunk in the winter as my winter ones are non-RFTs and I don't want to inflate or patch on the roadside. No guarantee that even with RFTs, you may be able to drive back home or to a dealer with a flat. Worst case, just have bmw roadside assistance deal with them if you ever get a flat.
I have mostly had RFTs in past get nailed or blow out in a way that they could not be driven at all. That might just be me though.
