We have had our x5 5.0i for about 15 months, I have been getting an occasional DM warning, it seems to be random but has crept up more and more in recent weeks...
I called the BMW dealer in Denver, we are 4 hours north of them, I had read about a recall for the BMW injectors on these engines out to 10 years or 120k. They said they had never heard of it? We are expiring next month and I have a sneaking suspicion that they are the fault... will post some codes below...

appears to be the number 6 injector

have others experienced this? were you able to get the warranty work done?
SIB 01 05 18 is the pertaining document...

I usually do all my own work on all my cars so this is something a bit more complex...
