Nice write up @42pilot! Now the question is...how many quartz does the V8 need? People mentioned about 9 quartz. We just finished changing the oils on my father's 1998 S320 LWB (8 quartz - Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5W-30) and my cousin's Volvo S60 T6 R-Design (7 Quartz - Castrol Edge Full Synthetic 5W-30 like you used).
