E46 M3 was a polarizing engine and exhaust note. Love/Hate situation but for me it was simple. Love. E39 M5 stock was fairly muted for that motor and output but with a conservative exhaust it sounded amazing. Two vehicles that highlight some of the best of times at BMW.
