Yess... putting the collision detection to early give you more time to react with visual warning and beeping first before braking actions, even with the false alarm. Also, if the situation is real, the SAV will act a bit smoother just enough to avoid the accident rather than the sudden intervention that may hurt the driver/passenger and the objects.

So, if one set the collision detection to late, you know you are a risk taker !!!
