First statement is correct
As for second statement, Audi drastically shrinked its all-new Q7 to adapt to its previously smaller rivals (X5 and ML), so the Q7 still battles the X5.
We know there will be an X7 to battle the future GLS, we can therefore assume that Audi could issue a Q9 in response at some point.
