Lol this used market is ridiculous

Never in my worst dreams did I ever think a 5 year old F85 with 130k+ miles would be onsale by a BMW dealership for $40k

Yea I'm about to go back to the office, my car will go back to sitting around. Private sale is around 45k for my car, I'll take 35k from the dealer. Then buy something in the spring. Prices are crazy.

I'm looking at a few and having a hard time with the barometer on these.

2018 - 25k miles - Executive, B&O - CPO - $77,500

2018 - 34k miles - Executive - non-CPO - $74,000

Are both of these prices in line with the current market, or insane? Or both?

Insane. To put into perspective, 16's with 30kish miles were going for sub $50k last year. And that's a 4 year old truck in 2020

18's with 30k miles in 2021 would be going for lows in the $60k area if the market was normal

Yea I don't think the market is that crazy. Seems fine to me. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...-cc94cd41c8d1/.. similar stats on this car, and they are asking 8k more. I'm sure that can be brought down to 63k to 64k which is fine.

That one doesn't have B&O and I'm sure you can't bring the price down lol. They'll just say "well my friend, the market has changed" when you tell them it's overpriced

As a data point, I picked up a 2018 X5M silverstone on black interior with black wheels in August 2021 from a BMW dealer. It had 20k miles CPO warranty and fully spec'd. $70k. So I suspect you have some room to negotiate here. The CPO is worth $2-4k so being one year older with more miles and no CPO try low 60's.

Although not BMW related, my friend was trying to build a 2021 Escalade a month or so ago and sent this pic of the quote....staggeringly insane. They didn't go for it thankfully! 35,000 for Market Value Adjustment is freaking crazy ballsy!

You won't believe it, but I received a flyer in the mail from BMW of Fairfax, asking me if I would be willing to sell my X5M to them. I thought it was funny, and tore it up and tossed it in the garbage. They would sell my vehicle, for more money than they would be willing to offer me, then try to sell me another vehicle. HELL NO.....

You can very easily order an Escalade below sticker. Dealerships are just trying to reel in a sucker.

They did get one for a reasonable price but they had to order it and it won't be built and ready until early next year. That insane amount was for one on the lot and I bet someone did buy it. Suckers are abundant, unfortunately!

It will get worse for the next 1-2 years...

Currently no head up display for the lower 3 & 4 series, just came in.

Plenty of people holding back on buying new cars, can't imagine what will happen if part shortage is over and people put there orders in... they will have to wait for a year or so to get the car.

Bought my first X5m (3rd BMW) in August. Prices were all over the place, happy with what i ended up paying in this market. 2016 40k miles Black with Aragon, Full Merino Leather, Executive, B&O, Nightvision, rear entertainment, i think every option available. paid $49k and $5k for 5 year additional 60k miles full transferable warranty.

Love the truck!
