Post Maintenance & Repairs

I frequently see questions about the maintenance and repairs of these vehicles, especially as they move onto the second or third owner and continue to age.

I purchased my 2018 14 months ago at 36k miles and have since logged over 20k miles. My vehicle was an off lease one-owner that was overall well cared for by the previous owner according to BMW service records.

This last year has been busy as I hit 50k but this year should be much less now that I got most repairs/maintenance appropriate for this age/mileage behind me. I'm a particular person with my vehicles and tend to be a bit over the top but it usually pays off in the long run.

My F85 is used across all driving use-cases, from morning coffee run to a single HPDE and everything in between. I'm now outside my original warranty and am now under my extended under Allstate until 100k. I default to wrenching myself and avoid others touching the vehicle unless absolutely necessary.

Attached is a current copy of my maintenance/repair tracker to give you a real-life example from a current owner. I welcome any questions or feedback including anything I might have overlooked or not considered.

Nice tracker, I should do the same. Consider the belts and pulleys - parts # 1, 2, 10 and 12, or were those already done as part of the alternator replacement? Your tracker is not clear on that.

Oh, have you checked on oil pump chain? Mine was out of spec at 60k miles. See this post about this maintenance check https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1847303

Haha, yep! I got 7 months of my original warranty and was determined to make it count. Rear gate button a little loose...fix it! It helps that my SA Kevin and M Tech Dilan are absolutely amazing and have been fantastic to work with. I absolutely love this vehicle and look forward to another M in the stable later this year.
