I'm sure lots of X6Ms will be lapping the "ring" on their way to the mall in 8:05. And at least the RRS is an actual SUV. Still not sure what the hell the X6 is.

I don't know how people can hate the X5/X6 M. If you like cars, you have to admire the engineering that goes into them for it to handle the way it does and the way it performs. Period. Forget about the people who buy these things, or how expensive it is, the thought that a SAV/SUV can do what a smaller sedan does is just amazing

Perhaps a low center of gravity does not do that much. Really, this is pretty wild.

Just goes to show, you put enough horsepower on a barn door you can run the N-ring at a really quick rate.
Seriously though, the N-ring is a HP track, in general the more hp the quicker the ring time (or stated more clearly the more hp/lb the quicker the time). |

It goes beyond just throwing horsepower in. Sure, it's one factor but then you consider the F10 M5 goes around the Nurburgring in 7:55, the X6M is expected to "pulverize" the Range Rover's 8:14 and weight's almost 800 pounds more than the M5? No, it's not just HP. A lot of work has to go into the chassis for something big like this to move the way it does and it's not just increasing HP.

This is absurd. Of course a car with a lot of more hp and infinite more torque runs around the track quicker than the E90. What is the hp-torque/kg of both cars? What a retard comparison.

I can run two of the same cars back to back, one with double the power of the of the other, while another has a different suspension setup, and they will both lay down equal times. How do you explain this? Both are the same exact weight and even have the same tires. You need to understand that there is A LOT more involved than just power:weight ratio in racing and the dynamics of a car. Don't put down the engineering that quickly, its a slap to the face to those that worked hard to achieve this.

which means that a lot of work was done to the chassis to achieve that time |
