Doing some research looking for numbers and stumbled across this thread I'd bookmarked back in 2016 and thought I'd follow up with it.
*I* am now over 4.5 years into my fiasco with the gas station having unleaded in their diesel pumps. I filed suit in Feb 2018 so it's been over 2.5 years on that and still nothing. I could provide some great entertainment on all of the procedural "pissing contests" the defendants have done and the laughable low offers they've made for the car (as low as $7,500.00!) but I've got other things to do and it would be a novel. Anyway, just curious to know if any of you still own these cars and what your experience has been since replacing fuel components. No way I'd spend the $$ to repair the car now (yes, it's been sitting in storage for 4.5 years) but I'm honestly curious as to whether or not any of you had other fuel-related issues. |

My car has been in the shop for 2 months. 2018 X5 35D. Just died on the freeway. No warning. Anyways they replaced everything that had fuel in it. From tanks to lines and rails and injection systems
They said the pump put metal thru the system Covered under warranty as I only had 35,000 KM on it but the bill was $26500 to replace everything It’s insane on a car that they offered me $56,000 to trade I. That’s half of the value. They said a new updated pump was installed but I read that Bosch just put a different part number on the same pump. What a mess |
