Wait for the interior and we will see how much better the new model is. The E60 was such a nice looking vehicle it is hard to improve the exterior much - more of an evolution. The interior is more likely to wow people and convert the critics.

Unified X Design Theme?
It seems BMW wants to unify the design theme on all Xs by starting to apply any new theme in lower Xs (easier) and then move the theme to higher and more complicated Xs.
Although it's logical and easier? im not sure if this is a good strategy. I still prefer very unique design theme for every X. Thus, I decided to order my X6 before the new theme reaches it! |

Didn't know! Thanks, now this bit of info will add nicely to other useless crap I already know about BMW cars. As if that wasn't sad enough, now I can start noticing which X5s have and have not wide fender option. ((

i've been looking at this again and i like the front, the profile is definitely just evolutionary from the e70, which is good.
now the back, sucks - i hope it doesn't look like that. i'm sure they will bring the interior up to F10 levels will make the car much nicer on the inside. longer WB and less weight - that will be awesome.

Does anyone have updates on the interior specs or space for the new model? Will the cargo area be larger? Will there be a functional third row?

X3 on roids. I hope that it doesn't look like the render. The current X models need an interior refresh but not too drastic. A larger navigation/infotainment screen. New shifter removes the top button. I hit it too often. Center console could have better shelving and audio plugin placement. Just to name a few things I would like to see change.
