For Canada F25, dealer will need to use software to program AS/S to last driver mode, first time free. I understand in some parts of Europe the dealer charges for this program.

Thanks for sharing your impressions. Update us on Hakka's when you get them. I guess you did not want the 'all weather Hakka's'
Does that only apply to the F15? Because the start/stop function on my 3-series F30, is always active after every stop/start the car?! every time I start the car, this function is active...even if I had deactivated it prior to turning off the car...

Correct. But you can get the F30 software updated to remember last setting like the F15 does. I believe you just have to ask your dealer and they'll do it, no fee.

Shaw, ask your dealer to deactivate it on your F30. That's what I asked them to do for my F25. Also, it was 1st time free, to revert back it was a $200 to $300 charge. But if it was defaulted to remember last memory, there should be no need to revert.

I recall one F15 owner say that the AS/S is much quieter on the F15, I don't know I as have deactivated it.

The NAV/Entertainment hard drive is most likely an HGST (Western Digital) Endurastar magnetic drive specifically designed for embedded automotive use.

Also you can change start-stop feature using the button to the left of the ignition button. The last setting is retained persistently.

Nice ride BTW :-)

the button to the left of the ignition button has been disabled. Doesn't allow it to be pressed...doesn't move.
