X6 exhaust pipe size

Hey guys,
I am looking to modify my exhaust,
What size is the Exhaust pipe between the resonators and muffler?
I went under the car and measured 3" but that seems a bit too big.
Maybe I measured wrong?

It is 3" you measured correctly.

3" is right. I bought the OEM 3" clamp to install my MPE and it fit perfect. I'm really surprised the stock piping it 3" all the way without any resonators in between the muffer and downpipe.

Your lot didn't come with a clamp? You had to buy it separately?

I bought my MPE slightly used (less than a year old) so it didn't come with the clamp.
