IND presents: Eisenmann's X5M exhaust!
Eisenmann Exhaust Systems GmbH has been a leader in hand built, German made exhaust systems for BMW M cars since the company’s inception in 1988. These decades of experience grant Eisenmann perspective in designing exhaust systems, granting Eisenmann engineers the ability to create the best exhaust systems possible again and again. After so many years of experience as the best exhaust manufacturer in the world, however, the ability to reinvent and remain creative becomes of paramount importance. The new X5M Eisenmann Race system represents precisely that ability, and is a new approach for Eisenmann. We worked hard to give our clients a multitude of choices for the new super SUVs, and so have created two completely different styles of exhaust system with Eisenmann. The Eisenmann Race exhaust system is designed specifically to maximize power output and exhaust note while maintaining the lowest possible exhaust system weight. The original BMW muffler is deleted and two high flow resonators are put in its place, allowing Eisenmann to tune the exhaust note while minimizing restriction. Each race system is hand-built from 304 stainless steel, and is available with either four 102mm steel tips, or four 93mm carbon fiber tips. The race system will showcase Eisenmann’s signature flawless fitment and sound, along with a dramatic weight savings that is always welcome on this large SUV. The Eisenmann Sport exhaust system is designed to maintain a civilized, refined, and simultaneously aggressive sound. The canister is specifically tuned to minimize bass notes while at typical cruising RPM, and generate an excellent tone through the RPM range without creating excessive volume. The Sport system will give the X5M and X6M driver an exhaust system that is both exciting to drive and easy to live with. Valve control supplements the excellent sound engineering to give the exhaust multiple personalities- the valve will open or close to cater to your driving. Each sport system is hand-built from 304 stainless steel, and is available with either four 102mm steel tips, or four 93mm carbon fiber tips. The sport system will showcase Eisenmann’s dedication to creating the best possible exhaust tone, adding a powerful exhaust note to the already exciting SUV and combining this sound with valve control for true double duty useability.

Definitely need sound clips of both systems.
As well, when is the Race system shipping and can you provide a price shipped to T6R 0G5 in Canada? Thank you. |

I'll have a Sport video right when Germany sends the system for IND's X5M. All other Sport levels were pre-sold out.

The Race Version, any drones on the highway? It doesn't sound loud w/o DPs. Maybe similar to F80 with Akra noise level?

The cabin is quiet. Like stock when valves are closed, an about 10% louder inside when you gas it. With valves open in sport plus mode you definitely can feel the bass from the exhaust but i would not even begin to call it drone.

Just getting my head around the different exhaust options available and I really quite like the Eisenmann system.
Curious though, why would one choose a Sport system of the Race system? Would you buy sport simply because Race is too loud for a daily? Keen to hear people's thoughts on these systems, especially those without downpipes as they are not likely to be fitted. I'm really loving how aggressive the Race system sounds, however if drone is a problem and it's too intrusive, I guess there's a reason Sport costs more.

Right - so I'm assuming that even though race sounds attractive, being cheaper and louder, it might get old quick if you want a quiet cabin for the daily commute? I'm really curious about what race exhausts sound like in normal driving - do they drone for example?

Our cabins are very quiet. As long as you code ASD off, drone should be minimal if any (assuming you don't have catless DPs).

Wont be going DP's (warranty, etc). Will have to hunt down some cabin videos of these race exhausts.
To be honest, I just want my exhaust to be as loud as possible, though without any cabin drone |
