Yup, have been reading Alan's thread and bought the wet sand paper, 3M tape etc, this will be my first DIY installation!

You can do it yourself. It would be definitely easier with extra hands to hold and align the pieces.

haha, it's kinda close to the wall, i'm still adjusting the way to park a big car lol, driving a GTI for so long certainly needs some adjustment especially on parking.

Yeah the LED lights are awesome.. I am riding around in a brand new 2016 528i with about 200 miles on the odometer with xenon lights and it has a yellowish hue to it and it reminds me of how white the LED lights are in comparison.
One tip on the kidney swap install is take a look at Alan's install pics to show where the bottom tabs are located. Also make sure you drive the X5 for a few to get the engine warm.. it helps with the plastics to flex easier.
