Thanks, Much appreciated.. I believe your right, The delivery and continued driving will overshadow the entire displeasure with the wood. Im excited about it, especially coming from a 535.

If I would have ordered my X5 I probably would have opted for something different but I bought an existing '16 with Mocha and Poplar and I am not disappointed. I wouldn't sweat the wood choice at this point. So much else to enjoy about the car.
Honestly, the Fineline Matte wood trim in my '13 X1 looks better than any wood option available for the X5.

I'm going to be honest and say, the overall newness of the X5 at first will probably distract you from the ugly wood trim.. I can understand if the trim was in a area where you won't see it often... but the wood will come back to you and it will stare you straight in your face because it's right there in front of you.
OP, you've arranged for a custom order car and you should get the exact car you want and would be happy with. For the price of the car you earned that.
