2017 Individual Azurite Black Metallic
The 2017 X5M US configurator is online and there is an option of Azurite Black Metallic. I've seen this on a 7 series and it's incredible. Does anyone have this on an X5M already? I thought I was done with color choice of LBB, but now reconsidering.

I have it on my 2016 X5 M. You will not be disappointed.
I have photos of my car on the forum. Just do a search for Azurite Black/Smoke White. I know there is another member who has it for his X6 M. Good luck. |

I love how it looks sort of carbon black in the evening but then you really see the blue in the sun. I just noticed that this is an individual color across the entire X5 line up. Wish it was only X5M option. BMW needs to have a few more color options that are exclusive to X5M.

Here's BMW's description of the color, and it really is spot-on.

I had Azurite as an Individual order for my e92 M3. It is NOT just Carbon Black with more metallic in it.
The difference may be subtle to some, but at various car gatherings, when parked right next to other Carbon Black and Jerez Black cars, the difference was pronounced - and not just to me. The colour is amazing - rich, rich deep metallic, with a depth that Jerez or Carbon just doesn't come close to. To those that can't tell the difference - great. They should go with Carbon Black. I loved the difference, and the extra cost was well worth it to me!

I agree that even those not sensitive to colors can tell. Short story, I picked my car up in SC at the Performance Delivery Center. Some unfortunate guy was picking up a carbon black X5 (non M) the same day. They were about as close as could be in terms of desired effect, but the execution was drastically different. He had a CB/Ivory car while mine is AB with smoke white interior. His wife (who I imagine did not have much say in the color choice of their car) was glowing over my car. She kept saying, "now that's special" and "I didn't know that you could get that color" and "only if we had known that you could get that color, we would have done so." During the plant tour, she literally wanted to know all about Individual colors, what made them special, even the wait time and the cost. I heard her muttering as they got into their car and drove off. I got the sense that it was going to be a long ride for her husband listening to her praise the azurite black choice. Carbon is a great color. No doubt about it. But azurite is special. I would do it again without hesitation. |

I had it on my F10 M5, it's a sexy color indeed.

You can get the smoke white headliner or the anthracite one. They are both no-cost options. I opted for the darker headliner to deal with dust from the sunroof. Both look great. Do a search for Moopy -- he has an X6 M with the smoke white headliner.

For a while, the tradeoff with the smoke white headliner was one had to give up the sunroof/panoroof option to have it. Do you know if they've changed it so if one opts for the smoke white headliner, they can also have the sunroof/panoroof?

You might also like Taupe Individual, it's elegant too but more practical.
