MY2017 Individual - Need Clarification
I'm placing my order for a 2017 X5M soon, and have found conflicting information regarding the Individual options.
For my current M5, I ordered an Individual Extended leather option (Nutmeg), but had them change this to a Full Individual option. It was off-menu, and the MSRP was $9740. For my new order, I was interested in doing something similar, as well as order a custom Individual paint (typically ~$5000, I believe). However, I learned early on that the US plants don't currently offer Individual options, and ended my planning. With MY2017, however, new information has me confused. Now, we see some Individual leather options, but only listed as Extended leather. Also, there's a new Individual paint option (Azurite Black). It was quite challenging to get the Full Individual leather option on my M5. I have a great relationship with my local dealership, but they're in a smaller market and had no idea how to get my order as requested. It wasn't until I was contacted by a forum member, who shared the contact of someone in BMW, that I was able to complete the order. Therefore, I don't think my local dealership will be able to provide an accurate answer. So... does anyone have any insight on this matter? Can I now order a truly custom Individual X5M? Much appreciated.

I have azurite black on my 2016 X5 M. It and pyrite brown were the only individual colors for 2016. It is a $1950 option. Not sure that they have opened it up to other colors. |

Thank you for the reply. I'm familiar with the posts you referenced, but did elect to review them again. Looking at the 2017 ordering guide, I noted again the detail that going Individual removes 4MR ("Leather Dashboard"), and adds XT1. XT1 isn't described in the X5M ordering guide, but I see it referenced elsewhere with some research. I've seen it described as "Instrument Panel" coverage, as well as the dashboard. My primary objective is to avoid non-leather coverage on the dash, which you have highlighted is not the case. Do you know if we're able to order bespoke items now on the X5M interior, such as different stitching colors?

Good to hear. I placed my order recently, and the Individual leather does appear to be full, as you all have described. Thanks.

Any update on Full vs Extended in the X5M. I went through the same thing on my 13 M5 (having to add leather dash, etc) to get the Individual Extended to the Full level). Curious if you have you vehicle and if, indeed, the Individual Extended is the same level of leather as the Standard option of Full leather?
