Gas gauge
Good day all before I start just wanna say hope all are well staying safe and those who are sick speedy recovery to all I'm having a issue with my gas gauge went to fill up yesterday and once I finished noticed the gauge was reading only 3/4's full so I attempted to put more gas topped it off which I normally don't do but long story short gauge still read 3/4's full I live about 10 mins from gas station so once I got home noticed gauge moved more towards full but not all the way has any one experienced this ? If so what was cause and what was the fix just curious as to should I wait to next refill to see what happens before I bring it in to get checked I would think it should be covered under cpo

My x6 digital instrument cluster shows same thing.
Left small gauge shows full but bottom of Speed gauge gas level image shows 3/4 and 412mils something. I just live with it though. |

Use your BC button to scroll through your menu on your dash. You will see two MPG or L per 100K numbers along with the time, compass, date ect. Current and then average fuel economy. While selected on the average you can hold down BC and it will reset this average MPG estimate for you. This is what your fuel range estimate is tied too. What its saying tho is that with a full tank of gas, based on your driving history and what the computer thinks you get for MPG, it estimates that you have 412 miles of range. The reason it shows 3/4 on the fuel estimate is that in a perfect world I average about 12L / 100KM in my 35i which gives me 700ish KM of range or about 80% on my estimated gauge. Hope this helps. Hi
I think that what TS is experiencing is that the fuel gauge does not show full after refuelling. This is not about the indicator for remaining driving distance that is shown under the speedo. I am experiencing the same, full tank but only 3/4 on the gauge. If i enter the service menue in the instrument cluster i fid something interesting: it says "Tank total" (actual volume) 84.5 liters, but "display value" : 63.2 liters. By some reson the car decides to not display correctly. Maybe SW problem, looking forward to hear what the workshop dis to correct the problem. |

No, “Tank, total” is not the total tank volume, its the actual fuel volume in the tank, it’s changing accordingly. Right now when everything is fine, the difference is only a litre or two. It seem to be a software bug?
Bigmac, did they find a solution or explanation? |

I agree, a litre or 2 is within and probably to smoothen the displayed value. However, 20 liters the difference between 3/4 and 4/4 direct after refuelling to full tank isn’t good...
