2014 N55 crank No start 1f4a10 seems to be main culprit
So I just replaced the entire valve Cover. Car has 170K miles now. Was getting the horrible burning oil in cab smell. It’s the wife’s car. So after replacement all was well. Until a few days of driving. And she says she still smells fumes. Took it for a drive. And now it smells like fuel. Retraced all my steps and checked fuel rail. No leaks. Can’t figure where it is coming from. Opened the oil cap and seems like fuel was getting into the crank case. Removed oil filter cap. Oil smells like it’s been mixing with fuel. Thought maybe an injector went bad. But last time an injector went bad. It ran very rough and tons of white smoke from the exhaust. Parked it for about 2 weeks now. It’s been cold and haven’t had a chance to work on it. Nice day today and I had some time. Removed all the plastic intake tubes because you just can’t see the rear injectors. Wanted to double check for leaks. Still smell fuel even with the vehicle off and parked. Tried to start it and it just cranks. No start. Hooked up ista and got a ton of codes. I’ll post pics. Any ideas?

Charge your battery, it looks like errors you will see when the battery is low or was disconnected. I would do the following:
1. Charge/replace battery 2. Connect ISTA and clear all codes 3. Let car sit for few hours. 4. Try to start the engine. 5. Check for errors again |

Battery is new. Replaced this summer. Purchased from dealer. But was disconnected when I did the valve cover. But I’ll still put the trickle charger on it.
