UK BMW electronic deployable towbar retrofitted

Hi All,

I had a genuine BMW tow bar fitted to my X3M yesterday and I’m very happy with the end result. The installation included coding the modules so that rear sensors and driving assist are disabled when towing and I can select a towbar view when using the rear camera.

The install used all genuine parts and cost a very reasonable £1550 all in.

thats a decent price - think i paid £800 for a conventional detachable towbar 4yr ago!
