I honestly don’t know. But if anyone does…it would be the “coding masters”…see if you can find any mention of coding one and decoding the other (VLD) on the coding forums.
Good luck.

They are independent options and can be enabled or disabled separately; though not sure why someone would.

For what it's worth, I've gotten acclimated to it at this point. Before coding on the GFHB and VLD, I had a habit of turning the fogs on because I thought it looked nicer at night. I think I was just used to all of that light dumped directly in front of the car. It's really not as bad as I felt it was, it just takes some getting used to.

Coded, seems working, but one question,
i just don’t remember if it was same previously So: If headlighs (lowbeam) on And I turn on fog lights Left(driverside) headlight changes focus to left(moves focus to left) upd: Read the thread and found that it's ok. But is there any way to have both hump (drivers and passengers sides) without Fog lights? I think yes, but what do I need to code? Seems need to change some settings in FLE Last edited by irzayev; 04-04-2023 at 04:54 AM.. |

Amaretto, thanks for everything you have done to make this stuff possible. A quick question on my end. I have a 2016 40e which I notice that my FLE passenger side seems to be refusing FDL coding for a few register values. This was mentioned earlier in this thread where the value are coded, cheat sheet or manual, and then after rereading the values, I get an unknown for the first byte. This is always 14 rather than 04 for say Stadt_V_Idx position 1. You worked with another member on this issue, but I'm not sure if there was resolution. Based on some of the issues I've seen with the VLD coding and GFHB, I think for now I am going to revert to stock. I'd rather have good even light output rather than sub performing headlights that may do more harm than good. Just to confirm, the coding worked exactly as desired for driver side. Passenger side registers seem to be the only issue.

I did this coding for the LED headlights a couple years back - love the option! I also coded for SLI and TJA - when completing that task I recall that there are a couple ‘HUD’ settings for the ‘overtake prohibited’ indicator as well which I enabled - it works fine (both on the dash and in the HUD) even here in Canada where we don’t really have official zones like that (it comes on mostly on freeway off-ramps and on-ramps). Search for the HUD settings and do some looking at them (I don’t recall the specific name) - perhaps they got disabled when you coded. Sometimes these things just need a couple days to start working correctly again after coding. Hope that helps.

does anyone has the step by step to enable anti dazzle? I did that in the past but cannot find the steps. At that time had to change several items into individual modules.

You don't need step by step, just use the launcher cheat codes

I have coded using the process described by opasha. Works perfectly but I realized on single lane roads drivers from opposite lane sometimes complain about high beam. It is certain every time I use it few drivers will complain.
I wonder if there is a way to increase the sensitivity/calibration for white light and make the high beam less active under those conditions? |
