Lol, looks good. I was referring to a DIY removing the console on the rear seat, not the hand rest. I don't know the proper name for it, the console where people can change AC temp and stuff.

Looks great man, nice work. But please, please tell me you didn't stick a mount onto your glossy black plastic trim beside the center vents?!?!?!

I am going to attempt to swap the trim pieces on either side for the knee pads from the X6. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try this thread for the center console:
http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ng+cup+holders I tried using this instruction thread but there is such little space to work with it was very difficult plus clips started to break and I could not get very far. |

I looked at that thread. I was hoping to see if pulling off the trim all the way back to the rear air vents was necessary for the trim piece removal. Were you trying to do the same swap?

I found the thread because I have the mysterious rolling object (a coin or two) rolling around inside the console.
Supposedly you start from the rear and work your way forward, but it's so tight in my interior is black and so dark it was very difficult to work around. |

It is as simple as pulling up from the silver trim by the cup holder.

And first you need to remove the cover on door handle: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...rests/GP4KCSud Curtains are installed in the panel so no further actions needed. |
