Drove a new x5M with high hopes, love the car and how it looks!
However the experience was a bit of a let down for an M car. The entire car felt like more of a marketing exericise then anything. I almost asking my buddy if it was broken or if I had it in some weird setting. It felt disconnected and sluggish. Not worth the premium over a 5.0 X5 unless you need the badge for your ego. The M3 on the other hand is a totally different car vs a 435. I think the cayenne GTS is the best performance suv right now imo. Not sure about the benz though. Good luck |

It's not going to be to everyone's taste but I kind of like the new Q7. I saw it up close on airports around Germany and it looks like a supersized Avant. Like an A8 Avant. It's quite edgy and modern. If they make an SQ7 with the A8's V8 Turbo it could possibly be an interresting option for you though I suspect most Americans will hate on it since Europeans love for Wagons have never really rubbed off over here . I need to drive it and hope it drives well since I'd like the look enough to trade our Cayenne for one in a few years if it feels ok to drive and is great in snow plus have decent light offroad capabilities. Think rutted forest roads to trail heads not Camel Trophy.

Do you drive a X6M? Do you guys both need large heavy SUVs? Why not Porsche Macan Turbo, which will drive much better than these larger SUVs, while being able to do most of the transporting needs as well, with pretty much just as much prestige if that's also important to you.

X5M over the MB and Porsche. No comparison for me, it was a no brainer. I've been a loyal BMW customer for years. My local MB and Porsche dealerships can't even come close to the customer service I get from my BMW dealer. Plus with BMW you get free service for 4 yr/50,000. Win win.
And yes, I, like other X5M owners, can afford a Turbo S. I just wouldn't spend $50,000 more. X5M. /close thread

It's larger and more practical than its rivals. Yet, it still performs and looks the best. Cayenne is too curvy and girly looking for my taste, but to each their own. Keep trolling.
