It is. I bought the car and warranty at Carmax, which in my experience has the best aftermarket warranty in the business.

Love the truck!
You paid $49k out the door at car max? I've been checking CM all summer and never saw anything sub 50, did you negotiate with them or something?

They don't negotiate. The long story is...It was listed as coming soon, and had none of the options listed. I ran the VIN and saw it was fully loaded and priced about $10k less than it should have been based on their other X5M's the previous few months. I called the GM at the location and said i wanted to reserve, he said even he couldn't reserve for me until it became an active listing, but would watch it for me, and recommended i set a notification in the APP. I checked multiple times a day and for a week. Then something hinky happened, I checked at 9:30pm and it was still coming soon, an hour later when i was going to bed it was off the website, meaning likely reserved by someone without ever notifying as active. I called the GM the next morning and told him what happened and that I believed this was an inside job Carmax employee reserving. The GM kind of laughed that off but said he would check on it. He called back that afternoon and said the car did become active and reserved within the same minute, after normal business hours, and looked extremely suspicious. He wouldn't get into further details, but bottom line he pulled the car back and reserved in my name. I flew in and picked up that week. I believe the listing was intentionally listed without options and lower than normal so an employee could buy or have a friend/family member buy. What ever the real story, I'm very happy with the outcome.

Lol had to be, $49k is an insane price especially from Carmax. No wonder I didn't see it 😂😂

That is a great vehicle acquisition story. So glad it wasn't the GM that reserved it himself, lol, you would've never have gotten it. Glad he had ethics also! And to not up-price it once the real options were known!

I can't get carmax to call me back on a car I paid to have shipped to me.
I gave up and started looking at another dealership. I've called no less than 5 times telling them I will wire them the money right now on a 2019. I eventually got through to a sales manager last night- who promptly told me his associate would call me back. Still haven't gotten a call back. $67k for a 3 year old BMW and I still can't get them to take my money.

New car market is worse but that being said your investment portfolio including stox and real estate should be up significantly. Its all relative.
