I was leary of buying one because those speedy little things are quite expensive. Or at least they were when i was looking at them. Have they come down some in price?

Anyone have any experience with the 22 tcm? I've been curious about it for a few years now, some crazy velocity and last time I checked, cheap. As are the "launchers".

Depends on when you were looking. Back after Sandy Hook, they were frickin' crazy... now, they are more reasonable.

Boxes of 50:
Federal American Eagle will be between $20-$23 pre box "normally"
SS197 - FMJs made by FN will be a dollar or 2 more per box.
These, the SS198, and the similar SS195 are lighter and JHPs - they run more like $30 per box, but you don't generally put too many of those down the range. Those are the ones that are just sitting in there in case TSHTF. The... uh... magazine (talking about periodicals here, nannies) hold 20, which is nice.

As an aside: Someone mentioned the movie Ride Along 2 and the funny BMW fails in it. Well, they make a few bad claims about the FN 5.7 also. They make such a big deal out of it, you would think they would get the facts right. They say it will pass a metal detector. Nope... it is poly frame, but a metal slide. Also, they said he was empty after 15 loud sounds, but it holds 20. So... yeah.
