Phew. Good to see you Plasti Dipped it as opposed to going through a full repaint...

You are right, photos do look slightly different than in real. The paint looks darker in real.

It is not plastidip but autoflex. There is a difference between these two, the latter is of much higher quality and resistant to fuel and other weather conditions, whereas plastidip is not. I wouldn't recommend plasti dipping a whole X5, especially brand new.

How much does something like this cost to do an entire X5?

I got it done for $2k, but it could be anywhere between $2 and $2.5k. Not all plastidip dealers do a good job, so you need to be careful when choosing a dealer. Also you get a good finish and quality only when 12+ coats are applied, in my case it was about 15 coats.

I don't think I trust anyone around here to do a good job, honestly.

If I see an M-sport semi-LBB around LA, I'll know it'll be you

I think I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in LA with this color on a M-sport , it can be distinguished easily with LBB too.

The car looks good. If you'd be willing to fork up some more cash, 22" wheels would complete the package.

Totally, I want to go 22" wheels with 335 wide tires. Had I got my hands on the 599M 22" aftermarket (before they stopped importing them), I would have pulled the trigger by now.
