Nah come on it's true. I too watch on a calibrated large TV, the last of the Panasonic Plasmas. So many of these "horror" movies are just super, super dark and scaries pop out of nowhere. It's only "scary" because you can't see shit half the time.
Plenty of horror movies done in viewable light. |

WHOA.... Now I need to check. 😁
The only issues with these "early releases" 👀, for these types of movies in particular, they are just way too dark to actually see everything. Not to mention the sound quality. 😭
