I have the 20in sport wheels, no need for spacers from what I understand, but I will find out in a few days.
You don't need spacers. I have the exact same set up. Prismatic makes the best powder. Color looks sharp.

Does anyone have the rough specs for the brackets for the F10 M5 brake caliper? It should be an easy part to make.

Received my E70 x5m calipers from eBay and I must say, I didn't expect them to be this big.. wow.

I cleaned them up using soap and brake cleaner. Sanded them down and masked it. That process took me about 1hr.

Next I used VHT primer, paint and clear coat.

One done.. I'll be doing the other caliper tomorrow.

Hey guys,
So I want to install larger rotors on the back but keep my existing calipers. Do I need new brackets to support the larger sized 385mm rotors?

I have the x35i with stock brakes.

Thanks in advance.

This would be pointless friend. Unless you're adding a larger caliper to support a larger pad you will get nothing but fractional heat dissipation. Plus you'll get major uneven wear on the rotor due to the pad not fitting the rotor. Just get the 50i calipers. They're not expensive.

Anyone attempt to retrofit the carbon ceramic calipers and rotors? I may have a line on some front calipers and rotors from an M6

If you look at your rotor you should have a tiny lip if any. That will tell you it you can go larger. Best bet is to just pick up a larger X5M caliper and rotor.

They are same size as M5 and should fit the exact same way. Will need adapter for front and rear caliper won't work since it has parking brake integrated

If anyone did the upgrade themselves: is removing just the parking brake shoes in rear is enough to replace the brake shield? The manual guide says removing the hub. Planning to do my brakes soon, so doing my research
