And always take a deposit. Even a $100 - $500 depending on your prices. Setup a Paypal account, get a square reader (cheaper %). If they've paid $100 already, they'll show up. And take you seriously.

i never met with either of the clients that canceled. scheduled one of them only a few days before we were supposed to do it. I'm hoping they reschedule. they said they would...

Needed to go and check out some of the famous from California today. Worthy of going back at the end of the day for the right light. Mountain View cemetery. This was an exploratory trip for a later trip with other photogs.( quality suffers)

just had a kid tell me he was jealous of all the scantily clad/half naked women i get to see as part of my "work", and i was thinking...i don't actually consider that a benefit, even though i do get to associate with a lot of beautiful women. if i took the mindset that i "get" to see them naked etc, then i'd lose focus, become a perv, and the client would become uncomfortable, etc. hmm.

BOOYAH! I just picked up a 5DM2 from canon for $1699+tax!

Now, hopefully they ship it and don't cancel it for some reseller BS. Those guys need to understand that all the lenses I bought recently were for myself. It's a shame they don't realize that. Maybe I should submit the registration information for all those lenses...

Veeerrrry nice. How'd you swing the $300 discount? One of the 15% codes still working? I saw a couple listed on Digital Picture, but neither worked for me.

yeah, the 15% code. I think every person on their mailing list got 1 unique code. So, if they used it, or posted it and someone else used it, then it voids the code. I'm not sure how many uses each code has, but I know it's limited.
