Great looking X6, the dark chocolate colour is great.
Not a fan of the side propotions, like the F15 more, specially the air curtain looks way better on the X5.
But they're trying to differentiate these two more now, i like that.
All in all, nice effort, but i think the X4 will do better.

So much flake in that paint! Looks gorgeous. I know the X6 isn't a popular car around here, but I've always liked it. It's a car that reminds me of the concept cars of my youth. It looks like a car that no sane auto manufacturer would build. Absolutely love it.

Also digging this new trend of weight going down with new models.

weight loss? you are beeing sarcastic I hope. read between the lines. it weights 35-55 less similar equiped - translation : new x6 actually weights more because it has more equip even in standart models. My F25 X3 was suposed to be 40 or 70kg less (cant remember) driving feels more like 100kg more than my previous gen. More marketing BS

+1, i saw an i8 on the road few days ago, looks like a poster car also. it was being driven by a quite old fellow, i would say he was (at least he looked like) he was 70+.

LOTS of trolls in here with typical "looks like a Pontiac Aztec" and "still ugly" comments, very original

BMW did not make this to be a practical car, its a "style" car, its for people who want a SUV and don't need the space of the X5 and have the cash to spend on unpractical things. What is the point of the M3 or coupes, why doesn't everyone just buy a $25K car with 4 doors? This car sells great all over the world and BMW will continue to make it for a long time.

-It looks nothing like an Aztec
-It is practical for a niche group of people
-Some people love how it looks, some people hate it, just like art
-By making cars like this that are profitable it helps BMW develop new technologies and make all their cars better.
-Buy what you like and don't hate on people who like things different than you do.

i absolutely love the e71.
i really really like everything from the b-pillar forward on the f16.

the feature that ruins the f16 though, is the stupid swoop line above the rear wheel. it completely fails the eye when moving front to rear on a coupe-based vehicle. why not continue the line from the front? why did the designers feel like they needed to take cues from a Malibu Maxx?

Please. As if the Malibu Maxx was the first car to use that body line.

I wish that they would let the wheel arch flare out instead of crop it back inwards with the crease.

"Optical underbody protection"

I don't think I have ever seen a way more creative than that to say something is fake/non-functional.

To me it'd be like if the whites of our eyes just kept extending to the bridge of our noses. That's why i think it looks so wrong. Do you like how the headlights hit the grill of the new models?

Wait, who's spewing here? As if your argument is not at all disingenuous.

You're the one saying the designers "took cues from" the Maxx. Design inspiration infers lineage. If we're tracing lineage, then the Maxx is certainly not an honest point to start for this particular design element. Not to mention, I'd eat my shoe if you presented any basis for the claim that the designers looked at the Maxx.

What you mean to say is, you don't like that line, and it also happens to remind you of the Malibu Maxx. That's a fair statement, but it's not at all what you inferred.

The fender lines are quite atrocious. I wish there was just a main body line like on the smaller bmws

Actually the 2007 BMW Concept CS showcases that three dimensional characterline above the wheel arch which helps to pronounce and broaden the rear of the car.

Does anyone know when pics of the 2015 X6M will be available? I see the "///M" package on these pics, but know that the next real ///M will be delicious.

My 2010 X6M will be replaced by the 2015 model as soon as it is out there... hopefully no later than the summer of 2015.

Thank you for the feedback.

actually I do! I have a F30 and like pretty much everything about it (coming from a C63). I do like the new headlight design but wish they used black instead of chrome surround as standard. I also like the new M Steering wheel and stand out Nav screen that lots of people hate. They are all things I sort of didn't like at first and my wife's X3 has all the old versions of those things. Now I prefer the new look (grew on me) and think the Nav screen "sticking out there" is easier to see while driving compared to the enclosed screen (and is much nicer looking than Mercedes and their new Nav screens). In fact I might not get the facelift X3/X4 because they didn't change the M Steering wheel and Nav dash, I really hoped they updated them to what the rest of the lineup has. However I was glad to see the headlight change on them.
