My buddy just ordered a set of tips off of Alibaba based off of this thread. He is not on the forums much so I thought I would share!

But I would buy the ceramic coated ones that MODE offers. They should hold up better than anything shiny. Some of the guys have complained about issues with the shiny ones. One guy tried to complain or return them and the company recommended the ceramic coated ones. So that's the way I went with it. Posting pictures as soon as my rig is out of the shop.

They look to be the a very similar tip to the shinier ones that mode offers. I wouldn't be surprised if they were manufactured from the same factory.

Emma is finally back in my possession! Here are the MODE black ceramic exhaust tips. The body shop finagled them and they look great. But the clips show a bit up close. So I might have a proper exhaust shop figure out a way to trim out the tabs and/or weld them on. Otherwise they look perfect!

You definitely need to bend those tabs down and the MODE tips will seat better around the original tips. You shouldn't be able to see the stock tips at all.

I had the bms tips which are identical and cut the tabs off with metal shears there is a lug that will snap under the existing chrome tip to secure them (they can be taken off but a real pain). Just work them on with a rubber mallet.

My body shop is great. But I think they may have rushed this installation to get them done for me. I'm going to loop MODE into the conversation so that they get it right from the source. (I already sent them the information from MODE, but apparently someone didn't pay attention and just went for the installation...)

MODE will likely just tell you these are not made for the F85. You can honestly do this yourself by either cutting or bending them. I explain how in the 1st post in this thread. I bent them, but I also linked a thread of someone who cut them. It's pretty easy.

They actually were great and described how to do it. They even advertise the tips for the F85 "with minor modifications."

I'll figure it out. Will let them know your commentary from the original post, hopefully it helps.

Here are my MODE ceramic coated tips installed correctly. (Had my body shop redo them) They look sick, seated perfectly as if they are part of a custom exhaust.

Just sharing my experience - I bought the ali express tips and they are great so far - I ended up dremelling off all the tabs but the fitment was too lose so I had to weld them back on!

I painted my old tips black but they ended up fading on the outer (active) tip after a while probably due to heat.

I should mention the Ali Express tips look to be 100% identical to the Mode ones without the logo on them so that would be my preference - The shipping was ok at about 2 weeks (Mode would have been faster as I live in Aus)
