Hi -
I am new to this forum. In the Houston area. Want to order a MY18 with an MSRP of $73,364 for the build. Will be purchasing. My local dealer has offered me the following: MSRP: $73,364 "Savings": -$2,935 "Rebate": -$2,000 "Adjusted Price": $68,429 Phantom Footprints: $259 Permaplate: $399 "Total Purchase": $69,087 This seems like a good start, but I don't know exactly how much more to expect. I am thinking that after the rebate and add-ons the "Total Purchase" should be somewhere around $66,000 for this to be comparable to the deals I've seen in this thead. Is this realistic? |

What kind of rebate is $2000? Current offer is $1500. Yes, you need to shoot for 7% before $2k rebate or 7.5% before $1500 rebate. Why do you think you need PF and PP? That's almost $650 plus tax. Are you getting that much discount on your insurance? Are you in a high crime area? Or is dealer "requiring" those for lease?

The quote he sent over was very vague, so I don't know what the "rebate" is. Another thing I thought was odd - this is a quote for a new build, but there was a VIN and stock number on it. The MSRP was correct and matched what the website quoted, so I am assuming it's configured correctly, except that the color was different than I had specified. I am guessing he did some kind of configuration on an existing car to work up the quote? Before I sign any paperwork I will be sure that the build is exactly what I want. OK, update. I think I accidentally negotiated myself a great price.
I told the salesman on Friday that I needed to get the "Total Purchase" down to $66,000. I was using his language from the original quote and meant "everything before TTL". Exchanged email with him again yesterday. He tried a couple of times to get me to "come in and discuss this" and I told him, "I don't need to come in until I know we have we have a deal." He replied and said, "I can't get down to $66,000, but let's not waste each other's time. I can give you a drive off of $70,000." Got home and did the math and that actually works out to $65,141 purchase price, or 11% below $73,364 MSRP (including incentives - not sure what's what). I guess he misunderstood my original email and lifted his skirt too early. Either way, it sounds like I will be taking him a deposit on Monday. |

Is your MSRP 73364? What are other credits you have? Fleet, UDE, College graduate? Are you buying or leasing? X35i credit is 1500 40e credit is 3000 Fleet, UDE add another 1000 I'm unable to get total drive off of 70000 at 11% off. Can you post your breakdown? |

With two dealers bidding against each other, I’ve now been quoted a $70,935 MSRP 35i at $64k plus acquisition and doc fees. That’s before my $1,000 BMW CCA rebate.
At these kinds of discounts, I’m probably going to switch to a 50i build. Assuming I can still get it at about 90.2% of MSRP, that’s a 50i with DHP at under $1,000 a month for a 3/30k lease (and the benefit of rolling my MSDs). |

65,573 Sales Price (did a goal seek in excel) 4,086 Sales Tax @ 6.25% 541 Documentation ------------------- 70,000 Drive Off 64,875 / 73,346 MSRP = 10.9% I don't know how he gets to the $65,373 purchase price but that's what I calculate. If I shoot for the 7% of MSRP + $1,500 rebate mentioned earlier in the thread, I get to $66,712 (9.1% off). Am I making a mistake or missing something here? Seems like a good deal to me but I haven't responded either way to the salesman yet if I should be expecting more. |

I'm confused with two selling price you have mentioned above. I'm not sure which selling price is quoted by CA. if the selling price is 65573 - then your discount on 73364 MSRP is = 10.6% If the selling price is 64875 - then your discount on 73364 MSRP is = 11.5% Also not sure, if selling price is included all the incentives/rebates/credits etc. |

65,573 is the price I backed into after I subtracted the TTL from the 70,000 drive off he offered me. 65,573 / 73,346 = 89.1%, or 10.9% discount. Again, I don't know how he gets to the 65,573 but it is better than the 7% + $1500 rebate that is discussed here. (=66,354 =9.0%) |

Picked up one of the last 1017 40e for just under $14k under MSRP after rebates ($7600 off MSRP before 6000 rebate).
Must be a good amount of trunk money on them if they are letting them go for that much off. |

Two weeks ago, my dealer only said $3K +$1.5K credits for October (59% RV), plus the fleet and state. Roughly it's about $6K. The part from BMW is only about $4.5K. My deal in September (62% RV) had - $3K credit from BMW, which is taxable. $1K fleet $0.5K State |

I am struggling to get anywhere the deals you guys seem to be getting here in Southern California.
2017 x35d, $68,2xx MSRP. $6322 "savings" discount (includes lease credit). $0 down, lease for 12k miles is ~$815/month before tax. 2018 x35d build to order, $68,595 MSRP, ~$5400 discount (includes lease credit), $1500 down, 10k miles is ~$835/month before tax. Any suggestions? |
