Thoughts on fair purchase price?

Multi contour Individual full merino seats.
Extended leather/dash
Driver assist Plus (radar controlled cruise control)
White
Pretty perfect but for repair on passenger seating surface. Middle of seat. Maybe a tear.

If this is a CPO the seat should be repaired. Is it M-sport? Does it have LED lights? Need more information. IMO should be in $40-42K range from the dealer, but depends on the options. M sport package alone can bump the price quite high due to high demand.

Not M sport.
Adaptive LED
Seat is repaired but you can see it's like white epoxy/something in a 'sea' of soft perforated ivory merino. Concern is if it falls apart.
3D cameras.
Towing package.
Looks like 19/20" wheels. Maybe 20. 315s on rear. But NOT M wheels.

I would talk them into fixing it by replacing the seat or a good price drop. Sounds like lease return so they probably charged previous owner for damage but applied a $20 fix to it. Seems like 451 rims are on. What kind of suspension? 3rd row seats? Night vision? Which sounds system? You should probably check the 2017 pricing guide here to better understand the options or run vin decoder.

Sounds like a pretty well equipped ride so depends on how greedy the dealer is, (especially during covid, demand for used cars gone up) it can get expensive fast. I personally would not pay more than $45000 for it out of the door.

$46000 seems to be a bit high for me, not sure what kind of additional taxes and fees you need to pay in your area.

I agree. I figured 40k or so. If someone was trading it they would give no more than 35k I bet. They just offered me 38k for my 16 x6m when I was considering upgrading to a f96. They sure as hell didn't give someone 40k for a x5. Didn't feel it was much of an upgrade after driving it so I passed. But that's a different story.

We have to add 7.5% sales tax in CT as well.

Definitely overpriced. I just picked up a 2018 35d in September with 12,000 miles, M Sport and adaptive suspension for $46,400. You can do a lot better for a 2017.

Passed on the car. Found overspray on right rear quarter, broken black plastic weld trim in water channel next to right rear tail lamp and misalignment of associated rear wheel arch flare I didn't notice before. Must have been hit and repaired, not on carfax. Back to drawing board.
