Sorry Shawn - didn't see a PM from you regarding the FDL coding of SAT and Launch Control question.

Did get the new software links, though - thanks again.

SAT and Launch Control should be codeable, at least for any .35i or .50i (not sure about .28i) so long as car has high enough firmware level.

Can someone please confirm whether the instructions in the following link are the latest and greatest on coding VLD and GFHB (anti-dazzle) for 2016 X5M (F85).

http://www.bmwesys.com/guides/Euro%2...20How%20To.pdf

Thanks!

I would check out Anti-Dazzle Solved for crossovers (F15/F16/F85/F86). I believe the link you referenced is more for F3x (3-series, 4-series) and F8x (M3, M4s)

Also note: For X5M = E-Sys Launcher (F085), E-Sys Target (F025)

EDIT: Removed posted PDF to avoid confusion

For the sake of avoiding confusion, please do not repost the PDF and instead reference the post in the related thread on this forum: Anti dazzle solved

This makes it much easier to keep track of updates.

Agreed, which is why the OP has been updated at the bottom to reflect this .

That PDF on the BMWESys website (which is outdated) has created a lot of unnecessary confusion for F80 owners.

I'm using the Anti-Dazzle thread now as reference. Thanks.

One other (hopefully not too stupid) question. Is Variable Light Distribution (VLD) included in the coding for GFHB/anti-dazzle as describe in the pdf?

No problem. I edited to reference single post with pdf. The Anti-Dazzle Solved OP suggests, without a link to thread or posted, to check out Coding thread and I could not find link by searching. When I originally wrote message, the Coding Thread OP had Copy Cloud links which no longer worked.

I imagine the BMWE-sys pdf created confusion. I noticed there was only one reference to F030 standing for F030_F32/F33/F36/F80/F82/F83. I was just looking at chassis designations and was not sure why M5 was grouped with 5-series (F10) much like M6 with 6-series (F12). However, M4, X5M, and X6M were given F8x designations rather than grouping with their respective counterparts.

Yes, it is for both VLD and GFHB. Part of the coding removes the following two parameters, which stand for:

8S4 Decoding VLD
5AP Decoding GFHB

so my issue is with PSdZData?
My steps were extracting the file then copy pasting the psdzdata folder to c:/data, so the software can't find the folder/files?

I am not sure. I had never seen that error before. I was curious, so I ran quick search and found those two postings. It seemed one suggestions was that it could be something to do with either the copy of Psdzdata (eg, incorrectly installed with merged versions or read-only or blocked Psdzdata causing corrupted files). Another was that it could have something to do with a modified and unaccepted change to FA/VO. Once again, I am not exactly sure of the cause but thought I would share until someone more knowledgeable chimed in.
